I Lost A Song Contest was recorded in early 2026. A collection of mostly novelty tunes a result of a workplace songwriting contest I was trounced on by Kevan Ellis. That's a picture of me from when I was maybe four years old.
Treble in Paradise was recorded in 2025 in the basement studio of our home. Rick Colhoun helped with the mixing of Saltpeter. Corinne Palmer allowed me to use her excellent artwork for the cover. This was a really fun one, with each song having a special thing I was trying to do on each of them - a good example being trying to incorporate my (very fun but generally unusable) Meowdulator guitar pedal into Community College.
Boss was recorded in 2022 as mostly a solo effort. I'm a dad now, and these are almost all songs about that. Except for Yuki, which is about a neighbour cat that our cat simply hated.
Strap was recorded in 2019, as a band, with Sarah Cordingley on drums and Bianca Sopel playing bass. Strap started playing as a group around 2017, and ended sometime during covid. I'll say it's much more fun to play and write music with friends, and I think this shows in the music.
Palm Springs was recorded in 2016, with Sarah Cordingley on drums and Shyla Seller on keys. Opposed to Silent Days, with worries about staying the same - these are very much songs of a death and a new life.
Silent Days was written and recorded in 2014. At the time I had been feeling concerned about growing stagnant in my life, and from that came the inspiration for this record. Each of these songs is about stasis in work, love and self.
